binary to decimal conversion Hello friends
so in today’s video we will see how to convert binary number system into a
decimal number system so there are different methods to convert the binary
number system into a decimal number system but I will explain you in very
easiest way because this is the very important topic in the number system
that is conversion so let’s see binary to decimal
conversion so as I told you there are the radix version that is a base value
so the binary numbers is in the base value is 2 so an is decimal number
system tell base value is 10 so let us see how this conversion happens now I
have written here the binary package that is in the multiple of 2 because
binary based value for binaries 2 therefore the binary vital that is from
2 raise to 7 that is up to the 2 raise to 0 and corresponding decimal value for
that so first of all we have to convert the binary to decimal so that means we
have to assign somewhere your binary number to the decimal number so let’s
see what are those value for that particular decimal number let’s start
from 2 raised to 0 you know that 2 raise to 0 anything raised to 0 is 1 therefore
in binary 2 raise to 0 means in the decimal value is 1 also 2 raise to 1 2
raise to 1 is 2 therefore the decimal value is 2 now let’s see what do you
mean effort to raise to 2 gives us 4 therefore 2 raise to 2 is 4 the 4
decimal value is 4 up to the 2 raise to 7 2 raise to 7 is 128 so that is from 2
raise to 3 2 raise to 4 2 X 2 5 2 X 2 6 and up to 2 days 2 7 now let’s see what
do you mean by 2 raise to minus 1 2 raise to minus 1 means 1 by 2 that is
1/2 so 1/2 denotes point 5 therefore the value is point 5 now 2 raise to minus 2
what do you mean by 2 raise to minus 2 2 raise to minus 2 means 1 upon 2 into 10
raise to 10 that is 2 raise to minus 2 is equal to 1 upon 2 into 10 raise to 2
which gives 0.25 fine now what do you mean by 2 raise to
minus 3 to raise to minus 3 means 1 upon 2 into
10 raised to minus T which case 0.125 so this table is very important and this
table is going to help is to convert the binary number into the decimal number
now let’s see the step by step conversion of binary into the decimal you now take an example that we have the
convert one zero zero one this binary number into the decimal number so I will
explain you the step by steps how to convert the binary into the decimal so
the first step is very important that is write the given binary number now we
have taken the example of one zero zero one so first step is to write the binary
number so according to the first step let’s follow the rules so we have written the given binary
number now let us move to the next step you
now the next step is let’s write the binary package below that number our
number was one zero zero one so what we mean by the binary package we have to
always start from the right-hand side okay so let’s see for the one as I have mentioned here the different
kind of binary vectors so always start from the right hand side so from the
right hand side always start from the Taurus to zero so let’s apply this in
our example so for this one we will write two days
two zero four zero two days to one another 0 2 raise to two and the last
one that is it is called as MSB it is most significant bit
now what do you mean by two days to zero to raise to 0 gives one two days to one
gives to 2 raise to 2 gives 4 and 2 raise to 3 gives 8 that means as second
step Falls to write the binary vacant so these are the binary packages so what is
the next step so in the next step we will add this binary advantage to get
the decimal number now the third step is to cancel out the
bet edges which are placed below the binary number zero so here in our
example there are two zero therefore we have to cancel out the bet it is below
the 0 so 2 & 4 these are the two villages which are placed below zero
so let us cancel out this method so how many veggies are remaining so there are
two methods one is 8 and the next one is 1 so we will see the last step step four is to add the remaining
numbers now there are only two remaining numbers that is 8 and 1 these two
numbers are remaining 8 and 1 so we will add these two numbers 8 plus 1 gives 9
therefore the decimal number for the given binary number is 9 our binary
number was 1 0 0 1 it is very important to write the base because without base B
can’t pension which is the number system so 1 0 0 1 in the binary number system
gives 9 in the decimal number system but for the decimal number system the base
is 10 therefore base is 10 in the decimal number system so in the exam you
have to write answer like this it is very important to mention the best every
best whenever you convert the binary number into the decimal number so let’s
sum up this videos we have seen the four steps first step is to write the given
binary number then second step is to write in the village of the given binary
numbers then the next step is to cancel out the vet age below the 0 value and
the last step is to add the remaining Vantage so this gives us the binary
number into the decimal number thank you for watching today’s video the another
type of conversions we will see in the next video
